About Us
The Snapshot Sacramento project was created to promote Sacramento, its photographers and to help the homeless through the sales of Snapshot Sacramento 2010 wall calendar. Starting at 12:00 a.m. Sunday, September 13, 2009 and continuing through 11:59 p.m., Saturday, September 19, 2009, professional and amateur photographers will be asked to record activities and events of the people and places of Sacramento, 24 hours a day for 7 days.
The images should capture a sense of place and experience, an inspiring moment, pride of family and community. Images might include home and family life, work, play, faith, nature and landscape within the Sacramento region.
Submitted photographs will be selected to appear in the Snapshot Sacramento 2010 calendar, available for sale in December 2009. Proceeds of the Snapshot Sacramento 2010 calendar will benefit the Ten Year Plan to End Chronic Homelessness in Sacramento County, Homeless Connect.
On any given night in Sacramento County, about 2,500 people are homeless. It has been estimated that about 4,367 people in Sacramento County experience homelessness over the course of a year.* Our efforts are dedicated to help our neighbors get off the streets.
